The Fall Parade of Homes 2016 - A Space to Call Home
Aug 16, 2016
Looking to experience all that a small town has to offer, but aren’t willing to lose out on the city’s amenities? Visit the community of Oak Bluff West during this year’s Fall Parade of Homes, which runs from September 10th to October 2nd, and see just how easy it is to live beyond city limits.
Oak Bluff West is surrounded by scenic views of the prairie landscape, freshwater wetlands and local native grasses, while only being a 10-minute drive to Kenaston Common and 20 minutes from downtown Winnipeg.
“It does fell like a small town country lifestyle, but at the same time you get that city feeling because it’s right there,” explains Oak Bluff West resident, Jennifer Houser.
The wide-set lots, an appealing feature and common style for prospective residents, provide the opportunity to get creative with the layout of their bungalow.
You can see the variety of home designs at the Fall Parade of Homes 2016, like the Sterling Homes show home located at 38 Big Sky Drive. This contemporary home features a built in fireplace and entertainment unit, a large kitchen island with double sinks, as well as a master suite located on the opposite side of the home, creating the perfect oasis.
Houser also adds that because of the bigger lots, families are able to take advantage of the outdoor space which all helps to create a tight-knit community.
Oak Bluff West makes it easy for families to spend time in the community, especially with the K-8 school and Oak Bluff Recreation Centre, which is only a short walk along the beautiful limestone trails.
