Rec HockeyIn Manitoba we have snow for almost half the year. The best thing you can do is take advantage of the weather and have some fun.

And if you’re a kid in Oak Bluff West and the RM of Macdonald that means strapping on some skates and playing hockey!

The Macdonald-Headingley Recreation District is offering non-competitive hockey for kids aged five to 18 on Saturdays beginning October 24 at the Sanford Arena. The one hour sessions include a structured warm-up and a full non-competitive game and is open to anyone who is not already registered with Hockey Manitoba or Ringette Manitoba.

Each participant is required to bring their own gear, including a helmet with face protector, neck protector, gloves, shin pads and hockey stick. The arena will supply the nets and pucks.

Registration is $265 per participant. For large families, MHRD has ensured to make the activity cost-friendly by putting a $652 cap on registrations per family.
